Two Royal Weddings Stories!

by marimar_72 - last update: Oct 21, 2004

The first story!

The stage

This is the story of my friend who got married this summer (2004)to a man who comes from a good family and very well raised, but he`s not from the royal family as the bride, nor he`s from a tribe.

And by the standerd of her family,he`s not fit to be a husband, but she faught for the sake of her love and they got married.

The wedding reception hall was decorated in a very romantic way that each and everything in the wedding tells you how much the bride and groom are in love.
*

I went to the party early to make sure I get some pictures before the place gets crowded as it`s not allowed to take pictures with other people are in the background.

This picture shows where the bride and groom sit (on a stage like)
and you can also see the dance floor
*
The balcony

Walking down the aisle

In Leylatiwedding hall the bride first appears in a balcony and walks down from the balcony on a long stairway...

In some weddings the bride walks alone then the groom enters with his family(all men),but this is a custom that is brought from the central area in Saudi Arabia.

In Jeddah`s wedding customs the bride and groom walk together down the aisle until they reach the stage were they sit.

Where the guests are seated

Here is a part of the seating area for the guests, each table has a flower arrangement,a plate of small pasteries, and a plate of chocolates..juices is being served followed by arabic coffee..

Live music is being preformed by a band of female singers,(the wedding is only for ladies)the groom is the only man is allowed in along with his family, but they soon leave to let the ladies enjoy their night.

Angels

Three little angels

These three little girls dressed with angels wings got up the aisle to get the bride from the balconey...how cute!

A Cinderella story!

This is the story of my other friend, who is not a princess but became one over a night by marrying her beloved prince.

He faught against his family`s will for marrying the girl his heart chose..
and so they did,and now they live happily ever after &were blessed to have 4 adorable children!

The wedding reception was held atLeylatiwedding hall(back in 1993.)

This picture was taken of the buffet,It shows a gaint ice sculpture.
This sculpture represent the incense burner.we call it (Mubkhara) in Arabic.
