My friend and boss Brenna passed away My dearest friend Brenna (in the photo) passed away in September. She was a lady with great personality. She struggled with multiple sclerosis for over 15 years and she was only 53 when she died.
Before I met Brenna, I had a choice whether to go home or to stay in Canada. The first choice, my country with its economic struggles and conflicts that brought the region close to war or the second choice, Canada, where I was forced to work 24 hours per day, and was paid less than 2 dollars per hour.
My first year in Canada was the hardest part of my life. I prayed to God, "Please God, send me home."
And God sent me close to Brenna, who let me feel like her home was my own.
And then I met Brenna's heart and her personality that made me stronger. I was amazed at how organized she was. She knew where every single thing in the house was. I didn't need to write a plan of tasks of what to do during the day. Brenna always knew the plan for the day.
She never complained even until her last day. She made me like myself better, and see how many opportunities I have. She taught me to approach my problems with a positive attitude and solve them easily. She showed me that Canada is really the best place to live.
Dear Brenna, you are my life teacher, thank you so much. You'll always be in my heart. I love you and I'll miss you so much. |
