Battery Park- Lower Manhattan

Butterfly Umbrellas
I took this picture in lower Manhattan at Battery Park. I rode a ferry from lower Manhattan to Liberty Island to view the Statue of Liberty and to Ellis Island.
On board the ferry

The Statue of Liberty and I

The Statue of Liberty is Located on Liberty Island. Ellis Island is a separate Island, just to the right of liberty island (in this picture).

June 2004 WTC

Pictured here is the World Trade Site underconstruction. This picture was taken on the corner of Church Street and Liberty Street. Did you know, 7 buildings in total were destroyed and 6 sustained major damage...

Hairspray!!!

Hairspray won 8 tonys in 2003. It's a story about a teenage girl living in Baltimore Maryland in the early 60s. She is a short chubby spunky girl that wishes to be a singer and dancer on the Corny Collins TV show (think Dick Clark and the ABC Bandstand). She makes some hip friends who show her some new moves, falls for a guy, and gets some help from friends along the way.

Central Park

I can remember being a kid and watching Miss Piggy rollerskate through Central Park chasing a guy who mugged her in the Movie "Muppets Take Manhattan". Well, I looked for Miss Piggy but she was no where to be found! :) The Lake ahead has a resturant on it named "The Boathouse". Great views, but it looked over priced and over rated. Surprisingly, there are many lakes in Central Park and talk about a lot of people! People were everywhere on that Sunday afternoon.

26 time World Champions! The flags were at half-staf in rememberance of Ronald Reagan.

My Friend Mike!

In the Summer of 1998 I worked at Epcot in Disneyworld. I lived in apartment 3907 and Mike was my neighbor across the breezeway. So, Mike and I have kept in touch through email over the last 6 years. Mike had a pretty cool job at Walt Disney World... The summer we were there he got to be Mickey Mouse at the Magic Kingdom! He performed in parades, interacted with guests and signed "Your Pal Mickey Mouse" hundreds of times a day!

South Shore Long Island

Who knew New York had great beaches! This Picture was taken on a Monday afternoon... Surprisingly, there were a lot of people there soaking up the sun.
