| | The Irish Festival was held on large campus built specifically for Irish Heritage. The grounds cover many acres and there were several places to sit back and listen to music. There were a ton of folks here and the weather was near perfect. |
| | The music was mostly folks songs and instruments played were mostly guitar, bango, and other string instruments. All of the performers were quite good. |
| | Here is a group of Bango players. In addition to playing, they also chatted with the audience about the music and the instruments. |
| | Here is yet another tent to listen to music. What caught my eye was this HUGE dog. Several folks had dogs of this type. It is an Irish Wolfhound. |
| | I was surprised to see a Harp tent. I stopped in for a bit and was amazed by the skill and music of the harpist. |
| | During some songs, kids would get up and dance. There was actually another music tent for kid's music. When I happened to walk by they were playing the Chicken Dance. The overall feel of the festival was laid back - no hustle or bustle. |
| | Here is a step dancing tent ( I probably could have gotten closer for a better picture of the traditional uniforms). Wait, there's more. Part II of the Travelogue has more on the festival. As mentioned, it was a pretty large event. |
