this personal album is dedicated to those nameless people who i met on my travels and made it as special as it was. Many i jus never took their photograph, however the memories of them coming into my life whether briefly or in some cases life long friends will always be with me.

thankyou guys, it is you who help make my adventures what they are - extraordinary.

how do you say goodbye
when all you want is hello
how do you let them go
when all you want is them to stay
how do you open your hands
when all you want is them close
how do you give them wings
when all you want is them to land
how do you raise you eyes
and watch them walk away
how do you open your heart
and feel them slipping away
how do you live a day
without them in any way

you do it knowing if they return
you will hear them say hello

hungry words - 26/11/2004

burning sensation
chewy little bits
stuck in my teeth
munching on corn chips

sweet chilli delights
speckled with pepper
long past used by
still i chew, chew

the smell of ash is within the air
my nose is on fire, my lips are parched
i grasp for breath but cannot breath
i stumble and fall upon my knees

cannot breath, cannot think
i'm struggling, i'm coughing
i'm all out of breath
lungs heaving, chest caving in
i fall further still to the depths of dispair

a fleck of ash falls before my eyes
blackened with soot yet remarkably whole
i sense a change, my nose does twitch
a breeze touches my lips
never have i had a more sweeter kiss

tap tap tap tap
my fingers upon this keyboard thud
my mind wanders, races there, somewhere
my heart amongst a sea of acid, burning
churning, am i truely misunderstood
for anyone, anything, i would give all i am
but what will i become
but for one out there, someone who
i am inspired by, and for this one
i will arise, become the man
my heart once again within treakle
i will become
but without you, without my friends
what am i, what will i become
but none, but none......

ok just a mish mash of words but its who i am :)

within the stillness of my life
much like this room, do i exist?
the world goes by, without my strife
forgotten, never was, do i feel even missed
but for tears, i want just a kiss

trickles of noise seep through the cracks
gurgled, murmurred, broken, touched my ears
chaos, control, lost fears, cannot relax
all is gone, all hope lost, but for tears

why am i? who am i?
exist, alive? but why? do i?
but for tears

lump within my throat, desires intensified
hairs on edge, skin glistening with our sweat
eyes come to rest, we are truely mystified

passion from her lips, yet we have just met
fingers barely touch, goosebumps upon my spine
softness within her kiss, my life has just been found

touching gently hands together tracing a line
she whispers, i listen to the sweetness of her sound
lump within my throat, desires intensified

a few short hours, side by side
plane seats together, time in paradise
charming and delightful, eyes like a star
touched my fingers, chilled me with ice

you spoke of Rome, Venice with passion
showed me some pictures, gondolas obsession
laughed at my jokes, gave me your smile
struggled to avoid, looking into those eyes

number upon my hat, email branded to mind
nervous every moment, courage without coherance
hiding my emotions, even now covering the signs
lacking right words as you compliment my appearance

swapped souvenirs, both had stories to keep
awoke my mind, stirred something inside
glanced at those lips, imagined a first kiss
memories now within, you tasted so sweet

came to an end, 6 hours so fast
we walked, i paused, started to fret
thinking about you, glanced to the sky
then alike we both looked, our eyes had finally met

one word did elude me, still, perhaps never to be said

goodbye......

every moment i spend with you
think deep down of those times we're together
i seem to come up blank
for i am just beginning
to know you

everytime i close my eyes
or snap them open to stare ahead
