The Fisheries Museum is full of rooms and exhibits for everyone. It has 3 floors of exhibits and displays including a restaurant on the second floor and a live aquarium on the first floor as an example. On the wharf you will find Demonstrations and boat tours as well.

On the wharf there is a demonstration put on by one of the lovely museum staff. It is a to scale demo of how they traditionally launch boats from the harbour in Lunenburg. She taught us not only how to launch a boat but also some of the superstitions and folk lore that goes with a launch. when you are through there head over to the boats. Cape Sable and Theresa E. Connor wait for you to explore their insides and see the captains quarters, the kitchen, the boiler rooms, and where the crew would sleep. Be sure to go down the steep stairs backwards!

This buggy tour is my favortie thing that I did while in Lunenburg. You get to ride ina horse-drawn buggy while a commentator points out all the points of interest aroung town. If you are lucky the horse will even give you a little something to remember him by!
