Santa Fe is a very spiritual and holistic city. Aside from organic eateries and spas offering purifying body treatments, you might notice prayer flags on many adobe homes. There is a Buddhist community in Santa Fe and there are two beautiful stupas in the city. |

Away from the Crowds The first stupa I visited in Santa Fe was on top of a hill off of Old Santa Fe Trail. I was the only one on the hill during my visit and had a beautiful view of the city below. As the sun sank lower in the sky, the light was simply amazing. |
Sanctuary in the City The other stupa I visited was located at the Buddhism Center on Airport Road. This stupa was much larger than the previous and was right next to a trailer park. The prayer flags had not yet faded from the sun and the colours were striking against the blue sky. |

VeronicaG Sun Jan 7, 2007 17:06 UTC We'll be traveling to Santa Fe in a couple of weeks--can't wait! Thanks for your tips...I hope 2007 is a good one for you! Regards from Texas... | katezr Mon Apr 17, 2006 21:59 UTC Nice page, made me so homesick! I miss Santa Fe even here in Florence, Italy. Was the Santa Fe Bakery on Cordova Rd. there in 2004? - it's another great cafe. |
