Myanmar Woodcarving This is one of my favourite photo. Every people have their own culture and custom. This photo can show how dress the myanmar girls long time ago and their own beauty. She hold the lacquer case seeming to go the pagoda or special occasion. |
The puppet I love.. This is the Spirit figure puppet. It is a kind of handcraft from Myanmar and you can hang it in your room for decoration. I recommand you to vist the culture show in Mandalay or in Bagan. |
| Glass Factory in Glass Garden |
Nagar Glass factory Nagar (Dragon) represents the Saturday according to the Myanmar traditional Calandar. The father of the present factory owner was born on that day is why this place was named. There you can see piles of real hand-made glassware in the Glass Garden!!! |
Shwenandaw Kyaung This was the private apartment of King Mindon in Mandalay. This apartment was donated by the Son of the King Mindon to use as the Monastery. Now it is as a Shwenandaw Kyaung, the meaning of the name is the golden palace monastery where it is famous for its woodcarving and as a tourist site which is only one exist of the building of the original Royal Palace. |
At Mt.Popa.... This is at the resort hotel at Mt. Popa which is called Oasis of Dry zone. This mount is the extinct volcano last 250,000 years ago. It is 1520m above from the plains. Mt.Popa is well known as the house of the Spirits(Nat) and as the region growing the medical herbs. |
At the Silver Beach.... (July 2004) It was in the rainy season but I went to Ngwe Saung Beach. It was so adventurous as we went there with public transportation and the bumpy road lead to the destination after all those uncomfortable. |
Island near the beach... It was no rain at that evening. I had a nice time of my first visit to the beach in Monsoon. I took this picture when it is very windyyyy. |
