This tree looks far too think for this fat Koala, but he seems quite secure in his slumber.
I don't think he had much choice but to be up here, as most of the other trees around had been well and truly eaten, and Park staff had installed thick metal surrounds to the base of these trees, to stop any koalas or possums climbing up and defoliating the tree further before new shoots could come through.

Sleeping in the sunshine...normally they would be in the shade on a rather warm day (if there was a choice)

I also loved visiting Tower hill, it was indeed a great place to spot Koalas and kangaroos - nice pitures in your T-logues.

Great koala pics. So many! I still haven't seen any koalas or roo's. Not even in the Zoo. Tower Hill looks like the perfect place to find some koalas!! How far is TH from your place?
