Damn! This place is gorgeous!!!!
How can this place be described as anything but PARADISE!!
I just am in awe of Queenstown, and love to visit down there as often as I can. Yes, it is a tourist town, but by world standards, the amount of people is very low. And even if you hate crowds, you should visit just to see the lovely scenery.
This house is a fine example of how they like to use the local stone and keep the buildings blending in with the countryside. This is the house of a well-known artist called DeVela Gore. She will also perform weddings in her little church and provides her beautiful garden for the photos.

Flying to Queenstown and the views are superb. Not sure which mountains and lake we are looking at.
My favourite eating spot in Queenstown in the Bistrot Franýais, Upstairs on The Mall. It's French, Friendly and Fabulous! They will even sell you a "Skiers Packed Lunch". Baguette s'wich, fruit, muesli bar, drink and more. Great for up the slope! And in summer the cafý is just a wonderful place to hang out, meet friends, and write postcards to send home.

A beautiful area....great tips and pictures. I saw some of this on the show "Departures" where the two fellows did the extreme sports. I think a person needs to be in good shape physically and financially to visit.
