Lakes and Nature

by whvcebu - last update: Apr 6, 2004

Black swans ....

Black Swans
on the lake in Alentejo. Somewhere they were present on those lakes of the hazienda.
Red Nose Goose

A red nose ....

... goose as well in their neighborhood.

Noon heat at 48 ? C

... which is the equivalent to about 116 ? F makes it impossible to do greater activities. Even the horses are standing still and seeking the cooler areas of the water.

The hills in the area of the Alentejo strechting through the middle of Portugal towards the South are known for their hot summers with dry heat and almost no rains.

What a gorgeous place. The photo horses near water is spectacular. Travelogues are really wonderful. Ostrich travelogue was especially interesting. Thanks for such an enlightening visit.
