mad jil at the Blind Shot

an extraordinary exhibition in Singapore 2002

there was a place called Sculpture Square - Blind Spot which is a place for art & cultural exhibtions. after my colleague back to HK and i stayed behind, i went to B.S. alone.

the building is quite small. when i got in, a girl sat beside the table and ask me whether looked for the "exhibition". I replied "yes, but may i load my bag and backpack here?" i had to wear the mask before i entered the show room.

in the room, i did not see anything but the mask. some sound effect, installations around. I walked carefully like a FAT cat, step by step. once i kicked something on the floor, i just kneed down and tried to touch the stuff. i knew they are mostly the toys.

after 10 minutes, I left the room with the girl's help, 'cos I couldn't find the exit with the mask.

i had a nice chat with that girl and she asked me whether I were the artist, 'cos my point of view and usage of terms made me like an "artist"!!

the girl called Kart and i lost the contact with her.

Kartini, if you still remember whom I am, please drop me an email. I will never forget the great experience in that "Room". I was also one of the installation!!
the world upside down

adrift in Taipei 2003

it was a weird exhibition. it was my second time at Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA).

the staff asked me to take off my shoes and carry them with the cloth bag. Ok. I did it as instructed.

when I entered the "tunnel" like the way to unknown end. there were someone "walk" outside the cloth tunnel, so she/he would step on me. it liked hide-and-seek. there was no other colour but heavenly white.

as everyone must walk on knees, so sometimes, there was no one around, I just laid down on floor and took a rest as I just off the plane.
mad jil with longest tongue

sculpture exhibition in Macao 2003

i went to Macao in December 2003 with my college buddies to celebrate the New year with the special threatre play called "Underground".

in the last day (Jan 1, 2004) we went to avenida da praia, Taipa and met this funny sculpture exhibition of Xian Jing + Guangci. the photo shows one sculpture in washroom. do you know which is the installation?? both are horrible!!!
jil at Urbis

unique architecture & comtempory art in Man. 2004

Urbis is easily one of the city's most distinctive: a huge, frosted-glass triangle that boldly paves the way for future architectural development.

The top floor - ARRIVE - which recreates the shock of landing in a city for the first time. The downwards through CHANGE, which features a 200-year timeline of Manchester's immigration, and then on to ORDER, which is in unnerving detail how cities work. The final section called EXPLORE, where urban life is examined in detail.

jil's dying after 4-hour visit

this is the British Museum which the tourists' must-to-be-spot.

Natural History Museum, Oxford 2005

The NHM in Oxford is not as big as the one in London. But it is still interesting and informative.

After visiting the NHM, visit the Pitt River Museum passing through the smaller entrance. But unfortunately, I did not have time to go throught the exhibtions in the PRM.
