Talking about a small place. I think this bar's height is ten times its width. We moved up to the first floor where Johnny hit his cookie tin banjo. I found some Groninger worst and irisbe came up with a big bag of peanuts.
I wonder how the pictures Mahieu took will turn out.
I think we lost track and swerled around the Groenplaats.
The next stop was our own make-shift pub down at the metro station.
Suddenly the real liquor came from everywhere and I still hear Tom saying: "Ik drink niks!". Leroy -the only non-Flemish speaker- brought some wonderful honey-based stuff in a Grosch bottle.
Johnny was unstoppable and it wasn't until he saw the picture I took, he realized the combination of the lyrics with the background.
All that singing and drinking attracted some local homeless people we sang too for a free drink.
Somehow we managed to escape the underground world (I can see clearly now) and went back into the storm. It was just before midnight and we headed for the Schelde river. Irisbe had promised us a visit to the left bank, but she was too chicken to get us on a boat. For some(?) reason we were refused at the next scheduled stop and ........
......... we ended up at Van Beveren at the Vlasmarkt. This is a lively cafe with an organ-like instrument that swings for 50 cents. They played popular Dutch music and it must have been late, because people started to confuse me with the Dutch prime Minister. We spilled some beer and did some dancing.
On the way to City Hall we met at least three batchelor parties (with an even higher alcohol percentage than our party) and we did some singing and hat interchanging on the streets. We ended safely back at our starting point, cafe Den Engel, where Johnny got the crowd on the chairs.
And I think I even saw ELVIS......

Pieter, Antwerp seems like a very accessible place. Your transport tips are top notch!
