Maputo Market, Mozambique One of the most exciting markets that I have visited. You can literally find anything here from a needle to a Giraffe. Bargaining is the done thing (most unusual in Southern africa), yet the prices are so low that you feel bad when you do bargain. |
Maputo Beach, Mozambique The vast stretches of beach is not really for swimming, too shallow but is makes for great walks |
Strandloper, Langebaan, RSA Strandloper is a beach "restaurant". I am putting "retaurant" in quotations as it is an outdoor venue and you eat from tin plates. Your cutlery is mussel shells and your fingers, but the food (mostly seafood) is extraodinary, the bread baked fresh on the premise and the jams all homemade. Coffee is brewed freshly and the sea air just assist in the ambiance. Situated right on the beach near Langebaan |
Table Mountain walks, Cape Town, RSA This particular walk is not an easy one, takes approx 5 hours, but you have the best views and nature at your feet |
Pringlebay Approx one hours drive from CT is Pringlebay. A quiet little fishing village where you can really relax and enjoy the nice coastline. |
Bettiesbay Next to Pringlebay with a lovely small little penguin colony which is nice to visit and get to know the animals. |
Langebaan Situated on the west coast approx 120km from Cape Town, you will find this little gem not on the sea, but on a lagoon. Lovely |
