So we had a lot of fun long time before we actually met...
.
.
We arrived in Rome on Sunday around 5 p.m. and at 8 p.m. we had our first VT meeting!!!!
Cathy, Gianluca and two friends had picked us up at our B&B and we went to a nice restaurant, had some delicious antipasti and pasta and wine and just the feeling to be with friends!
What a great start of a vacation!
And then we were shown the beauties of "Rome by night" - some of the VT members were out of their minds.........
....... others took it more easily!!!
All in all it was a fantastic two days (well, we got back after midnight..!!!)
After two days on our own, we met Cathy again on Wednesday. She was a fantastic tourguide and led us to the most interesting spots in Rome....
Boy, did my feet hurt!!!

Heinz and I continued on, but be sure, that we were exhausted in the evening....
We spent our last evening in Rome with Gianluca and Cathy in Trastevere. Once again they proved to be fantastic tourguides, told us of things, that you won't necessarily find in a guide book, strolled through Trastevere with us - and showed us corners, that we would normally have missed!
After a nice glass of Prosecco, we went to a restaurant in the very heart of Trastevere and enjoyed Bruschette and Pizza - and the most medieval atmosphere!
Thanks once again, Cathy and Gianluca for making our stay such a special one!!

Tini, how many men gave you yellow mimosas on March 8th? *winkygrin* Great accomodation tip and the pizza at Da Baffetto looks indeed tasty, although I already had a better one in Egg-Leo.
