Arrived on Saturday Night

Seattle from Space Needle
Arrived in Seattle late afternoon.

After checking in at the hotel it was off to the Irish bar around the corner. Nic had to go back to the hotel to pickup her passport for ID purposes.

Met up with the lads in Peso's bar across the street. Then it was cab to Pioneer Square. A few drinks in the naked sushi bar. Then a few more in J+M cafe. Hen night and *** cake. Barman showed us his fire eating skills on top of the bar.
Red Cranes

Sunday

Breakfast at Peso's muffins eggs and stuff. Hangover specials.

Then took courtesey van to the aquarium. Bought excellent citipass. Saw sea otters. Then went in IMAX cinema to watch the eruption of mount st helens.

Took 1hr ferry ride around harbour.

Walked through pike street market but it was closing down. Walked to monorail staton and got off at the Space Needle.

Went up Space Needle. Walked back to hotel, through the Bite of Seattle. Stopped off at record store and spent some money.

Flying Fish for evening dinner.

Monday

We took the courtesey van to the car hire place downtown. Drove to Snoqualime Falls. Had breakfast at Salish Lodge overlooking falls.

Took walk down to bottom of falls and went even closer across the rocks. Walked back up after a few hours. Knackered.

Drove across floating bridge to Discovery Park. Took the South Trail down to the beach and the lighthouse. Walked back up spotting some rabbits and a woodpecker.

Drove car back to the hire place but couldn't find a petrol station. Took cab back to hotel. Evening meal at Thai restaurant around the corner from the hotel. Coffee at the local Seattle coffee co.
Discovery Park
Pike Place Market

Tuesday - Match Day

Walked to breakfast at Kitchen 232. Coffee and BLT.

Walked down to trolley stop. Took trolley to aquarium and walked up to pike street market.

Saw fish being thrown about. Walked to Pioneer Square and met the lads in J+M. Walked to the ground and took a look at Safeco Field. Bought Seahawks tshirt.

Had lunch back at J+M. Went to match early to get rid of rest of tickets. Good game. After game walked back through pike street market and past flying fish and then got a cab back to the hotel. Met Welsh Phil and Lee in Peso's for a late drink.

The right kind of football going on in the Seahawks Stadium... :-) Great place, you're right, lived there for half a year and loved it!

The wrong kind of football going on in the Seahawks Stadium. But the way the Seahawks have been playing of late, maybe they could use their feet a little more too. Good to see you had a great trip following your team!
