Must be one of the newer structures in town! I found this carving above a door along the passage between the Ploce Gate and the eastern entrance to Stradun (Luza Square). |
|  | Intricate carvings In Gunduliceva poljana there is a great statue by Ivan Rendic of the poet, Ivan Gundulic. Beneath the statue, the artist carved four wonderful reliefs, one of which is pictured here. |

| | Lovrijenac Just outside the Pile Gate on the western side of the Old Town is this picturesque little bay and the fortress of Lovrijenac situated high above the rocks on the left side of this picture.
During the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the fortress is the location for performances of Shakespeare's Hamlet. |

Spent the evening at the Troubador in Dubrovnik last June. Plann an evening or two there. Great music, high energy, lots of people from everywhere to chat with. But get there early. It fills up. And be nice to your barmaid. she might be a friend of mine. | coast2coast Sun Oct 21, 2007 14:20 UTC
