The forums are a spectacular sight! So thought i would share a few pictures of it with you!
We walked through it from the South East end (from the Coliseum). We luckily caught it when it wasn't to busy!
Enjoy the pictures!
Another impressive archway. One of only a couple still standing in the Forums.
If you are walking through the Forums from the Coliseum end, the Santa Maria Nuova is directly to the right of the Arch of Titus.
Again, coming from the Coliseum end of the Forums, you will find this on the right, just past the round Temple of Romulus.
The temple of Vesta sits just North West of the 'House of Vestal Virgins' ruins. Again, if you are comign from the Coliseum end, take a left just after the Temple of Romulus. You cannot miss it......it is big!
What can be said about this really. This is the spot where one of the greatest known people of all time was cremated. His body is apparently not here, but even to this day, the exact spot inside is still covered in Fresh Flowers!
Or what is left of it. This building is a complete ruin. Which is a great shame, because there are so many stunning peices of engraving lying around that one can only image how awsome it must have looked while standing.
You walk under the Arch of Septimus Severus while leaving the Forums. Its a stunnig end to a great walk. You will also see the enormous pillars that are still standing from the Temple of Saturn (which you can see in the background of the picture).
From this point, you also get a great view looking back across the Forums. If i had the time, i would have walked back through it again!

Outstanding Rome pages Brian! Birthday greetings from Alaska.
Very nice page.
hi Brian, thx for providing the useful and helpful tips. Great page :)
A really informative page about Rome. We missed out last year because our flight got cancelled... But it's high on the wish list.
Elaborate tips and great pics!! Walking in Rome is certainly the best way to see this wonderful city.
Campidoglio Square was drawn by Michelangelo (see 50 cents coin), Roman cats at Largo Argentina we all care for... I am glad you enjoyed, hope you'll have more time to explore next time.
Great page with much info..I hope rome to see one day..Thanks.
Thanks for useful info. How much it costs from the airport to Termini for instance. Is any of the journey underground? When you say the hotel price was average, what is average? Also -
Great start of the page, good tips! You must have just missed the pope on sunday....... he blesses the people on the Piazza at noon every sunday. We did see him a week ago, a great experience.
