Mount Elizabeth | Picture from a walkway around town |
Mount Elizabeth is the key figure of Kitimat city. We see it from almost everywhere in town.
There are trails to go up there but I didn't test myself on it up to now but the time will come |
|  | Walkway in town Kitimat is an industrial city built in the 50' by Alcan. Among the caracteristics of the town, it should be mentionned all the walkways between the houses, so you rarely get close to cars and other traffic.
These walkways serve for people on feet, bicycle, rollerblades and unfortunately, for dogs. In spring, there is *** all over the place: disgusting!!! |
| | Fishing: like being in heaven !!! Want to fish: Kitimat is THE place! You can fish at minutes away from home for all sorts of salmon (Chinook, Pink, Chum, Coho) but also trout like StellHead, Dolly-Varden, etc...
Prefer sea fish and food, there are some Crab, Prawns and Halibut (see Homepage picture) |

| | Shames Mountain Shames Mountain is located 25 km from Terrace, which is 45 minutes away from Kitimat. It is located in the Northwest British Columbia at 2 hr drive from the south tip of Alaska.
We go to Shames for the great outdoor in family: downhill ski. Overthere, we meet a lot of Quebecers living in the area |
