This part of the metroparks is a valley, strongly influenced by the Rocky River and partial glacial carving. Massive shale cliffs rise above the valley floor. Many trails wind through the deep floodplain forests and meadows. This is a favorite among birdwatchers. |
| | Winter View from up and behind the Rocky River Interpretive Center. This center provides details on the geology of the area, examples of wildlife, and history behind the first settlers and Native Americans who lived here. |
| | Off the Main Trail There is a multipurpose paved trail through this reservation that goes 13 miles south to the Mill Stream Run Reservation. There are many hiking trails beyond that! |
