Table mountain from Bloubergstrand |
Cape town must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. The mountain is amazing. You can go up by cable car or climb it. From Kirstenbosch, the botanical gardens you can walk up. I must admit we only walked up a short way so I don't know how long it will take. From the cable car the view is stunning. The mountain is just one of hundreds of things to see. The castle, that dates back to the somewhere in the 1600's (it was build after Jan van Riebeeck arrived in 1652) is something to see. Then ther's the waterfront with a wonderful vibe and sundowner boattrips that's worth it's money over and over again. Wineland tours is a must. At Delheim you sit in the cellar and taste the most wonderful wines. The restaurant next to the cellar is a must for lunch. Simonsig and Groot Constantia is beautiful farms and at Groot Constantia the old house was restorated with furniture and implements from the original time. Again there is a very nice outside restaurant. The market
in the city is also worthwhile seeing. A very busy and nice vibe. Cape point, Kommetjie, Stellenbosch, up the west coast, all has a beauty of their own. Parternoster up the west coast +- 2hours from Cape town is a very special little fishing village with wonderful shells on the beach. The beach is white and you can see forever.
