VT Meet #1

My first international VT meet ~ January 2, 2004 in Delhi. Thanks to Rathika (Radz) and Vinay (vinayverma) for finding the time to meet up with me ~ and to Vinay's wife Sonia for joining us as well! :-) It was a pleasure meeting you all!

The photos are taken at Dilli Haat, a state-run showcase for craftspeople around the country. Rathika and I shared lunch (an amazing fish curry) at a restaurant called Have More earlier. . .

Hi Stevie, I met the multilingual salesman at the pigment market stall in Mysore, too. He seems to have extended his grasp of foreign languages, as he had guestbooks for Croatian, Russian and Icelandic visitors, too (:-)

The stares are not intended to be anything more than that. When one stands out in a crowd, people stare surreptitiously in North America. Not so in India or other countries. They simply don't bother to mask their curiosity. It's never meant to be rude.
