Imaniac's Holland Exploration Trip

Apeldoorn Station
Palace entrance path

Introduction

I joined Imaniac's Dutch Exploration trip for a day. Originally the Apeldoorn visit was scheduled 2 days earlier, but now I was able to explore Apeldoorn.
Royal Palace Het Loo

Our main goal

A visit to the Royal Palace Het Loo was our main goal. We were very lucky the weather was sunny (in between very rainy days).
Palace Entrance

The Palace Tour Starts

The entrance to the palace is via the parking lot and the ticket office. The first buildings are the former stables ans garages where royal automobiles, sledges and more are on display.
A temporary exhibitions with 100 year royal pictures was held in one of the adjacent stables, where also some of the plants from the garden were parked (to protect from the frost).
AA-95

The Royal cars

All Royal cars have license plates starting with AA. Also horse drwan carriages are on display; even a funeral one.

Opposite to the stables is the Theehuis (Tea house) restaurant.
King's Garden

Into the gardens

The Palace gardens are very beautiful. From the palace seen the left- and right part are reflections of each other.
Lower Gardens

More garden

In the wintertime the summerplants are parked inside and some of the young plants are covered to protect them from the cold.
Star Globe

Even more garden

Also the fountains are off during the winter and the basins drained.

Zit zomaar wat te VT surfen en liep tegen jouw Connexxion tip aan op de Apeldoorn pagina. Inmiddels is het vervoer overgenomen door Veolia.

Nice Frame Pic. LOL Great pictures indeed. Although weird to look at when you make them, the results are awesome.
