VENICE............. After Mexico Baracca del Cobre (see my home page) ... my number 2 country is Italy... NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT !!!!!!!! FOR SURE.....!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this country almost just as much as Mexico.... I've been a lot in Italy and travelled a lot trough it... But Venice... has a place in my heart, it is a shame within' 10 years.... (that is the guess at the moment) The whole beauty will collaps under water.... Let's hope... there will be some "brilliant" people.. to find a solluction before that "shame" is gonna happen......... I am buildings - addict.. and like history a lot... the arquetecture is really beautifull.... when you have the change to go to the beautifull Italy.... do not forget... the almost lost city............. |
| Miami and the lovely art deco |
WELCOME TO MIAMI........ Maybe not logical for a nature lover... but in the line of loving buildings.... The art deco buildings in Miami.... is really great..... it stands on number of you must have been there.... Not to long, it is very expensive.... to stay... but when you do a trip to Florida.. just visit it... to see the amazing buildings... and great "sport shops" they have there... For an expensive city.... the prices of the sportsclothes... are reasonable.... |
CAPE ST. VINCENT (PORTUGAL) I have seen a lot of capes.. in the world...... I do not say this is the most beautifull one.... i ever saw.... but i always have the feeling i want to return there.. for sure that is gonna be one of my goals...to do so.... Maybe it is that I am amazed... of the History fact. which goes along with Cape St. Vincent....that is a possibility as History lover.... I don't know... Because that cape.... exactly "there" always was the "turn of the ship" of our famous history guy Columbus... I remember I sat for hours and hours... there..doing nothing just staring.... looking over the see... dream away... But anyway Portugal is an amazing country.. to do arround trip... I LOVE THE PORT wine... and the Portugesian food. is really taste full...... for a while i worked in an Portugesian restaurant as a waiter & bartender.. I can reccomand you "cataplana", just try it.. it is an mix... of all kind sort of fishes in red sause... really great... and next to you a lovely portugesian wine.... and you are fine ! I can assure you that ;-) |
Alum Bay....(ISLE OF WIGHT) - South of England I am assure of the fact that my love for travelling started just THERE !!!!!!!!! I was 18 years of age, and travelled by car the whole south coast of England... that such an amazing beautty... is near my own roots Holland... You got there such different colloured rocks..... really beautyfull..... I always said... please put my ashes there into the sea, there the place where my love for travelling start.. I would be honoured ! To start my last travel........ from there were it started...my addiction to explore the world.. and it's beauties.... The south of England is really amazing.. the Cornish side i love also very much... |
| The beauty of silence....... |
The Rilla Convint-In the mountains of Bulgaria This convint takes you an 2 hour ride.. through the mountains and back by car.. but it is really worthed, The Monks wash their clothes in the river and are almost in totally silence... The crist and religic paintings are so very well conservated.. that it is amazed...... when you are there for 1 hour, you come totally to yourself... the fresh air, the breeze of the mountains.. it is great....., Totally reborn you will do the ride back throught the mountains... to the hasty world life... again......... But with an great reminding... of knowlegde... what the beauty of silence can do with you for 1 hour... |
| Even Charles would be jelouse of this... |
Prague............. (the Chech Republick) I've been there a lot of times...all the time i returned..... WOW what a historical place.... my most favorite spot are the small streets, you think yourself in the "Charles Dickens" time..... what a history... what a architecture.... |
| Pub --> drinking,darting and having a great time.. |
The typical Irisch pub - does not matter where I mean does not matter where you are in Irland itselfs.. every pub is of the same concept.... and that is so great, you get what you see !!!!!!!!! The old Irish pubs has a great... designing... of old and antique furnitoure and bar.... Just go to the pub, have yourself a pint, get drunk, end up with great converstations, even singing some Celtic songs with the violine man........ "and don't be afraid for the wife..." because all pub's closing early.... !!!!! Eat some pie or pastry in between to fill the stomach... and i can assure you.... --> YOU HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIVE...., with lot of laughs... and great stories...... you can be relaxed and completly yourself..... And I love to dart... one of my favorite... sports during having a drink and the talks in between.... which you can be asure of you will find in EVERY pub.... I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
The harbour of Enkhuizen....... This pitoresk city you have must seen when you visit my country Holland... I lived there for over 12 years....... I love boats in general.... and water........ I love the sight there of seeing leaving and arriving the boats... expecially the old saling boats....... You can take tours.... for a few days on one of the boats.. just do it...!!!!! Enkhuizen is lovely anyway.... with the Zuiderzee museum.... It is 1 hour by train from Amsterdam, up to the north.. it lies between Hoorn and Medeblik.... I was born near by there in Venhuizen.... |
