The essential me, even today, "The Serious Thinker". |
| | Starting School Kindergarten at North Haven Public School when it was in "The Hall" on the riverbank. We got to play in the sand at Lunchtime..., so cool! It was such a shame when the brand new school was opened up the next year and no more riverbank to play on! |
The Big Bream catch at about 10 years old When I was a keen fisherman (before I caught the surfing bug) I often caught between 20 and 30 Leatherjacket in a couple of hours around slack tide on my favourite rock (on the breakwater - "the wall"). However, on this morning, even though I was using a small hook and the wrong bait (shellfish scraped off the rocks for Leatherjackets) I caught this Bream - about 2 and 1/2 pounds in weight. A great catch on that equipment with that bait. As you can imagine I was one proud young Fisherman! | | | The Proud Young Fisherman |

| Social Committee 5th Form |
| | Wauchope High School Hey this is us, "The Social Committee" Shame I don't remember us organising anything spectacular! Was it us? Was it the times? What was it? |
Hangin' at North Haven Beach Not much in the way of surf so all there was to do was......., Hang out! | | | Me and Ray "aussie" Adcock |

| Piccies you get taken when pissed |
| | Pissed on Blackberry Nip Yuk! Only a handful of us first years got invited to the exclusive soiree at Jacaranda Street, the residence of a group of third years. It was fancy dress and I went as a Roman (easy with limited resources & equally limited imagination). Peter Rose is the other guy. He was SRC President & quite frankly I didn't know then (&still don't) what on earth he was dressed up as & I sure as hell have no idea what my bottle of booze was doing in his bra!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!! |
More College Silliness Two of my friends from my section at College, Jeff Lean (from Coffs Harbour - now Principal of a little school near there) and Daryl Larkin (now medically retired like me - was Assistant Principal of Teven-Tintenbar Public School - really beautiful spot). And there's me doing my best Marty Feldman impression with the boggly eyes! Not quite marty (Thank Goodness!) | | |
| Not too bad for Rugby players |
| | Putting on the style at the College Ball Brian Wills, Malcolm (Yogi) Bennet, Me and Ken (Jack) Wilson putting on a bit of the old style at the College Ball. What do you think my fellow VTers and friends? Did we cut the mustard so to speak? On second thoughts it may well be best if you didn't answer that! |
