Berries after snow fall After a snow fall in December of 2001 I decided to take a walk around my neighborhood to take pictures of the fresh fallen snow. |
The Oval The oval is what we call the land on the right ot this picture but it's legal description is Seven Oaks. The shape of the block is oval shape (hence the nickname) and there are no houses on it, it's just a big sink hole hole with trees and we used to slide down here in winter when I was a kid. Memories of childhood. |
Steam off the Mississippi River I photographed this on the Sunday morning January 18th, 2004. The temperature was 2 degrees Fahrenheit and -17 degrees celcius. * It was so cold, you could see the steam rising off the Mighty Mississippi River. |
Lake Harriet This is the Lake Hariet Bandshell and it's mysterious and lonely and sureal in this winter photograph. In the summer month it can get quite an audience for Shakespere In the Park and a swing band. They also have Sunday morning mass. |
After it has stopped snowing and the snow thrower is put away, I have a roast in the oven and a fire going - it's such a simple pleasure!!! ...need I say more? |
