Icon

The shop is located just before entering Kalambaka. It's not the typical artistic shop. The shop is the second floor of a big car garage.

Father Pefkin is a certified iconographic artist. With the quantity of icons made in this shop, the Father Pefkin only do the faces and a local artist paint the rest of the icon.

The entry is free and you will be given a guided tour all the process to make an icon.

On this picture, you can see the material utilize in the realization of an icon.

They used a natural extract for all colour (powder). They put the extract in the yellow of an egg and they mixed.
