Camping In The Backyard | Veronica Hiding In Fireweed Patch |
One weekend when I lived in Anchorage, Alaska my friend and I had the intention of going camping on the Kenai. However best laid plans... as it turned out we just ended up camping in the back yard and I ended up taking this cool picture of my friend's daughter hiding in a fireweed patch. It was one of the nicest camping trips ever because the next day instead of having to drive all the way home before work on Monday, we just had to pack up and walk inside! But we did everything outside just like we were at a campground! Even brushed our teeth. |
|  | Camping on the Kenai Peninsula I bought this little tent so that I could spend time camping in and around Alaska. When I moved to Nevada I kept the tent. I haven't tried to camp in unfamiliar territory yet.
This picture was taken a handful of years back during a 4th of July camping trip on the Kenai Peninsula. Somewhere around Cooper Landing. I can't remember the name of the campground right now. |
Fishing the Kenai Nearly every major weekend in the summer when I was younger my family and I would go camping and fishing at Deep Creek a few miles from Homer on the Kenai Peninsula. | | |
