Slovensky Raj

by SanguiniA - last update: Dec 22, 2003

Houses near Slovensky Raj entrance
These are a couple of houses/guesthouses near the park entrance. I would really like to live amongst such peace and quiet!
Cute Bridge
This is a cute little bridge near the park entrance as well. It never snows where I live (Malta) so I am always fascinated when I see a bit of snow!
Slovensky Raj Trail
Trails in the park look something like this. Some of the trails have ice instead of snow and can be very slippery and quite dangerous!
Tomasovski Lookout
The Tomasovski lookout is quite impressive, though we were a bit unlucky as there was quite some mist and the weather was overcast (as you can notice from the pic). Supposedly you can see the High Tatras on a clear day
Frozen Honrad River
The frozen Honrad River trail is a big challenge in winter, but the sights and eerie silence make up for all the dicomfort of the hike!

Kind (and true :) words about a beautiful country!

Those hotels seem incredibly good value. We'll be visiting Slovakia in September. I don't expect Slovensky Raj to be as quiet then as it was for you in winter - it must have been great having it all to yourselves.
