| Houses near Slovensky Raj entrance |
These are a couple of houses/guesthouses near the park entrance. I would really like to live amongst such peace and quiet! |
This is a cute little bridge near the park entrance as well. It never snows where I live (Malta) so I am always fascinated when I see a bit of snow! |
Trails in the park look something like this. Some of the trails have ice instead of snow and can be very slippery and quite dangerous! |
The Tomasovski lookout is quite impressive, though we were a bit unlucky as there was quite some mist and the weather was overcast (as you can notice from the pic). Supposedly you can see the High Tatras on a clear day |
The frozen Honrad River trail is a big challenge in winter, but the sights and eerie silence make up for all the dicomfort of the hike! |

Babzz Mon Aug 14, 2006 23:53 UTC Kind (and true :) words about a beautiful country! | barryg23 Sat Apr 22, 2006 09:56 UTC Those hotels seem incredibly good value. We'll be visiting Slovakia in September. I don't expect Slovensky Raj to be as quiet then as it was for you in winter - it must have been great having it all to yourselves. | Gili_S Sat Dec 17, 2005 16:58 UTC Nice adventure. I only saw Bratislava so far and its one of my favourite cities. | maltese24 Tue Nov 29, 2005 09:42 UTC well i've been to slovakia several times....the tatras are simply breathtaking |
