Corcovado National Park | Pictoresque Beach at Corcovado |
Corcovado National Park is the wildest and most 'virgin' in Costa Rica. It is your typical Tropical dream with glorious beaches and plenty of colourful birds and animals. |
| | Beautiful and loudly screeching Scarlet Macaw add that something special to Corcovado ... |
Monkeys are pretty common in this area as well - the cutest and most inquisitive being the White Faced Capuchin Monkeys | | | White Faced Capuchin Monkey |
|
| | There are plenty of interesting creatures ... here is an example of a striking small lizard (which I could not identify ... anyone has any idea??) |
Cano Island I thoroughly enjoyed my snorkeling trip to Cano Island! I swam with sharks and plenty of barracudas ... and I saw many, many tropical fish - a great experience! The highlight though was a sea turtle swimming calmly with the currents. I regret not getting an underwater camera with me, so here a picture of the beach instead ...
| | Several sea birds can be seen flying offsore or very near the coast. One of the most spectacular (for its grace) is the Magnificent Frigatebird. It has the longest wingspan to body ratio of all birds. |
You can also hike on Cano Island. Here is the picture of the scenery from a lookput spot along the trail
