Getting to Tortuguero is half the fun! | Collared Aracari on a break along the way |
The best way to get to Tortuguero is by boat from Moin. This is a scenic ride through the canals, parallel with the Carribean sea. One can see plenty of birds and animals on the way and the scenery of the canals amongst the rainforest is unforgettable. |

Tortuguero | | | A scnen of part of Tortuguero Village from boat |
|
| | Exploring the Tortuguero Rainforest in the National Park from a boat is a unique experience |
| | One can easily catch a glimpse of a Spectacled Caiman minding their business in the calm water of the Canals. This Caiman is convinced that by staying completely immobile we will not see him! |
The beautiful waterbirds cannot fail to enchant the Tortuguero visitors! | | |
| | Tortuguero Beach A stroll along the beach is a great way to relax! The sea is often too rough to swim in though, but wading a bit is a great way to ward off the opressive heat characteristic of Costa Rica's Lowlands. |
