"Manuel Antonio National Park" Costa Rica Travelogue by Srechko

We spend 3 days here and that was the time when we relaxed and enjoyed the amazing flora and fauna. I must admit that beaches here are not as beautiful as the ones I saw in Cuba for example, but having monkeys, iguanas, koatis, sloths, and god knows what else right on the beach is quite an experience.

If you arrive early in the morning to the park, you will notice tiny river that you have to cross in order to get to the entrance. You will probably wonder why the heck are these people offering (and charging) for a boat ride that lasts 30 seconds when you can just walk over it.

However if you stay in the park all day and return in the afternoon this tiny river becomes a big lake....Gotta pay 100 colones (25c) for the shaky ride.

Having in mind that Costa Rica is not famous for the most beautiful beaches in the world, Manuel Antonio is the prettiest one I saw in this country. White sand and calm waters are perfect for swimming.

If you go for a hike, you can see bunch of animals and as a reward enjoy a view like this...

Then there are animals:

Most common are capuccin monkeys...

... then iguanas...

...lizards...

...and the most energetic ones - squirrel monkeys.
