The first exhibit is intended to typify the types of vehicles used to travel the Mother Road during the Great Depression. Think 'Grapes of Wrath'

Moving onwards we find an example of an early delivery truck.

Motels were numerous along the entire Route 66. The vast majority are now closed but nearly all used neon to attract travellers.

A diner from the 1950's is recreated here. Examples can still be found along Route 66 even today.

A typical example is the Metro Diner in Tulsa.

On to the 60/70's and the flower power generation also travelled America's Main Road.

This VW bus is 'split' to indicate the transition to the 70/80's.

Outside the main museum building is an example of a Route 66 roadside diner.

This particular structure open in 1956 in Shamrock, Texas and closed in 1964 and was brought to this site in 1997.
