The interior of the dome is beautifully lit.
'As Long As The Waters Flow by Allen Houser*
The name comes from a 19th-century treaty between Native Americans and the United States government that stated tribes would own their lands "as long as the grass grows and the rivers run." The sculpture is right in front of the Oklahoma State Capitol and is approximately 14 feet tall and is of a Chiricahua Apache woman.
As you climb the stairs towards the upper level you are met by this statue of a Native American.
I cannot find any information on it...perhaps you can help?
Directly opposite the Capital Building is an oil derrick.
It seemed to be functional and it's, perhaps, testimony to the wealth created for the state, by oil, that is has been retained.
