This picture is from Iceland (2001) - the weather was windy and fresh, with beautiful sunshine and the most incredible lights

This picture is from Warnemunde (Germany, 2002) - there was an amazing maritime festival (one of my German students had written a paper about it, and it gave us the motivation to visit the town - and it was a lot of fun :-))

This photo was taken on a train between Hong Kong and Beijing in 2001. I was talking to these guys for quite a long time, and at the end they all wanted to have their picture taken with me, so I asked for one, too

Looking "very authentic" in the Mekong delta, Vietnam (2001) - a beautiful natural and cultural area in a great country

This photo was taken in the Petronas Towers shopping mall, after an Estee Lauder make-up session (the black hair is a wig) (1999). It seemed to me that hanging out in shops is a very typical pastime for young KL people, so I did the same :-). It was funny, because I was the only non-Asian girl there, and everyone else wanted to try on blonde and red wigs, only I was interested in the black ones.

Finland is one of my favourite countries - I've been there many times and I've got very good Finnish friends. This photo was taken in a cafe on a nice summer day (1996).

This picture is from my first big international trip in 1989: with my friends, we were travelling for a month - by Interrail - in Switzerland, France, Spain and Italy. I'm the second one from the left (the only summer in my life when I was experimenting with short and curly blond hair). We were very poor - slept in trains, railway stations, parks, anywhere -, but we had the time of our lifes.
