Sharm El Sheikh Travel Guide: 1,500 reviews and 2,275 photos
We are on our way to Tiran by boat, its already very crowded, we had to wait for some Russians for about 1 hour in the harbour.
There was hardly no space at the boat to sit down.
Not much room, but the sun is always shining and my wife was happy anyway, so what the h....
This is only a small part of Tiran, we went over to the other side of Tiran by foot and there was some really soft sand at the beach but no corals or beautiful fishes during this guided snorkelingtrip, watch out for sharp shells at the beach!
You can find them everywhere even 5 meter from the beach and they are very dangerous to touch
We saw this creature once during our visit in Sharm it was more than 2 meters long and was swimming in and out in small coralcaves all the time - beautiful

Excellent tips. Just returned from Sharm - took a taxi to Sharks Bay and Ras um Sid - used your prices as a guide - the snorkelling was excellent - cost us 40LE at Ras um Sid - but it was a beautiful spot. Thanks.
I am so glad you mentioned snorkelling - I was wondering if maybe this was only a good place for diving. Excellent tips (like about wearing long sleeves & pants at the monasteries), & poetic, too ("the rain forest is under the water") : )
