Meet lovely Noona and Marianna. Noona is our friend Lorenzo's grandmother, Marianna is her daughter, mother to Lorenzo. Noona invited Alsi and I to have our VTBBQ in her garden. This wonderful woman is in her late 70's and till a recent accident was riding her bicylce to market.

Well, here are Lorenzo and I getting ready to "put the fat on the fire" and get cooking for the BBQ. We were put in charge of the cooking. We had gone out earlier in the day with Lorenzo's dad to get the meat from a butcher that he said was "good". We found out later that he was very correct ^O^

Well, everyone wants to be friends with the cooks I guess, here Lorenzo's father Renzo and his uncle come to make sure the cooks are getting their wine glasses filled.

This is Asli thanks to her it all came together. Our VT meet in Venice, our VT meet in Verona, our VT meet in Ferrara and our VTBBQ here. Lorenzo my friend you are a very lucky person to have found this prize.

Getting down and getting serious we were all sitting waiting for Tal to take this picture, you can see my leg there on the left. Not often do you visit a country and are then invited into the warmth of a complete family.

Okay, so this is not strictly a picture of the BBQ, but this is Noona's cat and Tal insisted that we put up one of her pictures here. And yes, she was as soft as she looks, although she let it be known that she was only allowing you to pet her because she deserved it.

And last but far from least you can see almost everyone in the last pic. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. I do look forward to going back again and enjoying the company of all the great people we met there, they did so much to make us feel at home.
