Lunchtime

Whilst on a half day tour of the Gold Coast, we stopped to witness this lunchtime activitiy. At 1p.m. on the dot, the staff come out from this fishmongers to feed the pelicans scraps/fish etc.
There are many squabbles, and even pelicans trying to take fish from the throat of other pelicans.

Where's my lunch !

Hungry Pelican

This huge male pelican comes to the door of the fishmongers every day prompt at 1p.m. (see story above, ) just looks around, never steps over the threshold, but shows that it is time for lunch.

He is so huge, he is actually right in front of me, (no telephoto lens here)
