I hadn't spotted them this time but years ago... A group of statues (a dozen of figurines) near the monument. Amazing.

Update on Oct 2004: Here sitting in front of Minardschouwburg is, according to Gent local Erwin (Joeplaboem), Romain Deconinck. "He was one of the most famous theatre players in Gent dialect." I remember Dannie (Irisbe) had told it but I forgot. Thanks to both.

we where in Gent during the Gentse feesten 2004, but we avoid the crowed by going to Brugge that day :-)
