One of my favorite walks in Paris
On a beautiful Paris autumn day, would you like to walk through the Jardin des Tuileries with me?
MUSIC: If you would like some music to walk with, click here - Crusin the Tuileries w/ a Pork Pie Hat and scroll down to the 2nd selection: "In France They Kiss on Main Street" © Joni Mitchell or any other sample of your choosing.
Let's start out right here by the Place du Carousel (with our backs to the Tuileries) as we look at the Louvre.
|
| | Always on the horizon After looking back at the Louvre, we do a "180" to head N/NW towards the garden.
As we enter the gate into the Tuileries, turning our heads to the left, in the distance we can see la tour |
Into the Tuileries Walking into the Tuileries towards the Obélisque de Luxor in the Place de la Concorde that is the gateway to the grand Champs Elysees.
| | Along the way... such a pleasure to take in all the wonderful statues and sculptures placed throughout the garden. |
Catching some rays on a sunny Paris day We cannot help but spy on a Parisian lady catching some sun. Shhhh, ...
| | More sculpture along the way We're almost to the end.... |
The end of the tour (all good things must end) And here we are at the pond at the other end of the Tuileries, with the Place de la Concorde to our backs.
Thank you for walking with me again.
Encore, sil vous plait?
| | The bonus at the end of the tour... Here are the 3 most used & awful rock&roll lies:
- We'll get it in the mix..... - I won't c#m% in your mouth.... - There'll be a bonus at the end of the tour.....
At least there is a bonus at the end of the tour this time. |

yeoldbean Fri Jun 19, 2009 09:19 UTC The service was absolutely wonderful. The food was of great quality with the service & ambience even better. The crème Brule was so completely smooth, light, exquisitely flavoured with hints of vanilla and caramel.” Five stars from me! | jumpingnorman Tue Jan 27, 2009 06:18 UTC Yes, Sacre Cour is not to be missed! Excellent pics --- I did stand in that very alleyway...Norman :) | AgentBrittany83 Sat Sep 6, 2008 01:06 UTC Your Paris pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I'll be there in December.
