A walk through the Tuileries in September

by davequ - last update: Feb 21, 2009

One of my favorite walks in Paris

On a beautiful Paris autumn day, would you like to walk through the Jardin des Tuileries with me?

MUSIC:
If you would like some music to walk with, click here - Crusin the Tuileries w/ a Pork Pie Hat and scroll down to the 2nd selection:

or any other sample of your choosing.

Let's start out right here by the Place du Carousel (with our backs to the Tuileries) as we look at the Louvre.

Pauls lmt

Always on the horizon

After looking back at the Louvre, we do a "180" to head N/NW towards the garden.

As we enter the gate into the Tuileries, turning our heads to the left, in the distance we can see la tour

Into the Tuileries

Walking into the Tuileries towards the Obélisque de Luxor in the Place de la Concorde that is the gateway to the grand Champs Elysees.

Along the way...

such a pleasure to take in all the wonderful statues and sculptures placed throughout the garden.

Catching some rays on a sunny Paris day

We cannot help but spy on a Parisian lady catching some sun.
Shhhh, ...

More sculpture along the way

We're almost to the end....

The end of the tour (all good things must end)

And here we are at the pond at the other end of the Tuileries, with the Place de la Concorde to our backs.

Thank you for walking with me again.

Encore, sil vous plait?

The bonus at the end of the tour...

Here are the 3 most used & awful rock&roll lies:

- We'll get it in the mix.....
- I won't c#m% in your mouth....
- There'll be a bonus at the end of the tour.....

At least there is a bonus at the end of the tour this time.

The service was absolutely wonderful. The food was of great quality with the service & ambience even better. The crème Brule was so completely smooth, light, exquisitely flavoured with hints of vanilla and caramel.” Five stars from me!
