The sky Road in Clifden is a road that brings you next to Clifden Bay. This road goes up and gives you a lot of great views over the surrounding areas. When you are almost at the end, it goes up very steep and the views are getting more and more amazing.

Driving on this road is again like driving everywhere in Ireland over small winding roads where the other car can barely pass and if you have a big truck in your rear view mirror …..

……… then I noticed that I was not used to drive on this narrow roads at my wrong side. So I decided to park myself at the side to make sure this monster could pass me.

But this truck wanted to turn on a gravel road and yes I was parked there to let him pass, what an irony.

Well the sky Road is a must see here in Clifden, it doesn’t take you one hour to complete the loop and you can go further with your route. But mind one thing ……. if there is a slower car in front of you, don’t pass it on these narrow roads, just follow it at 25 km/hr like I did and enjoy the scenery.
