More than just office buildings | One of the famous bridges in Putrajaya, Malaysia |
Putrajaya is the Government's new Administrative Centre. Set in a beautiful, picture perfect place, Putrajaya also has a Botanical garden, Palace, large man made lake, the wetlands, extraordinary bridges, and a large, magnificent Mosque. |
| Putrajaya Mosque, Malaysia |
| | Putrajaya Mosque This magnificent mosque is one of the most beautiful I have ever been to; visitors are allowed during non-prayer times; so dress properly, ladies are provided a pink cover-up and headscarf (on loan, without charge) ; Free entry. |
The Prime Minister's Department A magnificent building overlooking the mosque, Malaysia Boulevard and all, on elevated ground. It houses...of course, the PM's office, and the Deputy PM; and various Ministers in the Department... I don't think it's open to walk in visitors, you'd have to check with Tourism Malaysia; ours was on special permission. | | | Group Pix Outside the PM's Department |

| Flowers at the Taman Botani Putrajaya, Malaysia |
| | Taman Botani, Putrajaya (Botanical Gardens) A large, sprawling park overlooking the large, man made lake again, with numerous plants, flora and fauna. Many gardens in the park, nice for an evening jog or walk. Free entry. |
The Prime Minister's House Our next stop was the Seri Perdana, the Prime Minister's official residence. A grand house on beautiful lawns, this wonderful house is devided into 3, namely the Banquet, Diplomatic and the private residence. Visitors are allowed into the Banquet and Diplomatic sections; but we didn't go into the Diplomatic section the other day since there was a function. No entry charge; cameras, bags, water bottles, camera handphones not allowed. | | | Seri Perdana's Main Entrance |

| Agricultural Heritage Centre, Putrajaya |
| | Agricultural Heritage Centre A place where they plant and sell various produce...fruits and eggs; there is a main square with affordable food and drinks; I think they even show you how they tap rubber and all; |
