It's been real....

I'm telling you, in Lithuania you will found the unusual, and no one will say "you can't touch that". We found this Russian Tank off the beaten path...I have never been closes to one these machine, U.S. or any other military tanks.

Two kinds of Flowers

Each flower has a name...on the right side of this picture we have some "Sun flower seeds" wearing it's yellow coat and showing off her green dress....
The other flower is called "grazos Grazina" wearing her dimples, and turtle neck sweater sporting it with a nice navajo necklace. The "FLOWERS OF LITHUANIA"

More APPLES!?!?!

I have a deep respect for apples now. I never really liked them, I would rather eat a banana over an apple or even an orange, in fact you wouldn't have to pay me to eat a sour lemon over an apple...BUT, on this road trip we never came short of running out of apples. if you did...all you had to do is just pull over and pick apples off someone's tree as you can see Grazina doing so here. She made sure we had a apple for the day to keep the doctors away, in then some.

Grazina waving with apples in here arm & hand.

Waving good-bye to the people that allowed Grazina to pick apples off their tree. I really enjoyed this time here only because in America you just don't come up to a house and ask "is it alright if we can pick apple?" or "can we use your toilet?" But hey, only in Lithuania...the owner to this cottage were very kind hearted folks...they even gave us good luck charm (turtles) that were made out of ceramic.

Old summer home.

Here's another interesting site on our 5 day road trip. Just where and what looked special we stop at. We took pictures and talked to the locals. That Irma & Grazina

Inside of this old house

This room looked so homey that I wanted to step over the rope (which is suppose to stop people from entering into the room) and crawl into bed, I was so tired.

Tools of the trade.

We were now in the rural area of Lithuania heading northwest into colder climate. In this house is a room that keep all the tools needed to work the fields and bring in the harvest of the land. You see a wooden shovel, basket, old iron pot, bucket, and of course some grain.

Fresh well water.

We drew this pale of water out of this well and processed to drink from it...okay so I lied, Grazina and Irma drank from it. I was scared to because I didn't want to get sick or anything like that. I guess I'm to much of a city girl.
