Museum- NAPIER Of course I think everyone knows of the devastating earthquake of l931 when Hawkes Bay area was hit by the disaster.
It is interesting to note that in the museum there is a seismograph which records earthquake activity, and we noted that during the early morning, 2 a.m. approximately, there was a small earthquake that registered on the graph, but we all slept through it. !!
