Italy - With my family at the Coliseum I travel a lot for business reasons and also travel a lot with my family because I am on the road so much. Because of this I take a lot of photos of myself just for my own amusement. I hold the camera as far away as I can and snap shots of myself at various places to to prove to myself that I was there. This is a collection of some of those photos.
That is my son Tanner behind me. The first day we were in Rome he took a digger off of the bed and landed smack on his face on the coconut fiber carpet. He had little rash marks all over his nose. My wife was horrified. She thought everyone was thinking that we beat him! |
| It is hard to smile looking into the sun. |
| | Hungary - On the Danube I took this shot from the bastions at the royal palace. It was built by the Hapsburgs and commands the skyline on the Buda side of the river.
You may not be able to tell but I was seriously hung over from drinking Unicum Zwack the night before. |
| | Las Vegas - Where dreams come true! The Mirage. The Dolphin Pool. Las Vegas is the only place in the world that has such a collection of juxtaposed stuff. This is myself and my son at the viewing window below water level.
You can see the dolphins behind us. |
| | Bosnia and Herzegovina - Medjugorje I made a side trip to this Catholic shrine located in Herzegovina. This is a shot from the start of the pilgrim walk up to the top of the hill. That is the town behind me.
This was the hottest spot in Europe that day. It was 105 degrees fahrenheit and we were in a un air conditioned chevy blazer. |
| Dieppe, is that in France? |
| | Canada - Dieppe Park On a business trip to Detroit. Took a little time and went over to Ontario. What a difference. It is startling to see how the river makes a world of difference. |
| | San Francisco - Fisherman's Wharf Another business trip to SF, another excuse to eat at the best collection of seafood resturants in the world.
I love visiting SF. It has something for everyone. It has great restaurants, site seeing, and is close to wine country. |
| | Mexico - Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride 10,000 people with hangovers riding 50 miles on a closed off road in Baja Mexico. It is the largest organized drunk fest in North America and my pals and I have done it 8 times now. We get consistantly better equipment but we get fatter, older and slower. |
| | Iraq - Victory Palace I took this shot late in the day in February of 2004. That is one of the mosques built at the Victory Place complex for Saddam's Lieutenants. |
