The Human Element in Architecture Walking around this most elegant of cities, I was struck at how often the architects and designers of builders incorporate the human body in the facade of their structures. It's as if they are making an effort to minimize the psychological distance that sometimes exists between "man" and the built environment. Contemporary 21st century architects, please take note. |
| | In Prague, the use of the caryatid transcends architectural styles and time-periods. I discovered these rather bizarre humanoids on a bank building in Wenceslas Square. |
