Bulgarian is the oldest written Slavonic language. Cyrillic was introdused in 9th century and Bulgarians were the first people to use it. Nowdays Bulgarian alphabet contains 30 letters (see the picture).

Outside of touristic areas you will not find any signs of latinic alphabet. Off course, friendly locals will always help you with reading cyrillic.
