"VT Meetings" by sandysmith

Laura was the first Vt'er I met when she came to the UK in May 2002. We did a tour of Liverpool and then spent a couple of days in North Wales which included a trip to the Sygun Copper mines and a memorable hike up and down Snowdon in glorious weather even if it was dicey in places with the rescue helicopter hovering over us!

VT'er Marko owns great holiday apartments in Slovenia and It was great to spend a holiday there for 10 days end of May 2002. Marko was so friendly and helpful in planning this trip and we had a great time there. Great too to meet Speedy77 (Barbara) - just check out my Slovenia page.

Discovered many happy coincidences with Steve - same age, same number of years married and we can talk footy. We've done some of the same hikes and even stood in the same spot for the same pic - but different seasons! It was great to catch up with each other up in Venice where we co-incindently celebrated special birthdays in 2002. Glad Steve and Susan could spend some time with us in West Kirby too - you're welcome any time :-)

It was cold, I brought the rain they say...but such lovely warm-hearted people. I'm glad I went.
Had a wonderful stay in Hasliberg - Reutii where I managed to have a shortish hike day before the meeting with fellow VT'er Rebibi - in between the cakes !
Thanks Elisabeth, you and Remo made my stay so enjoyable.
Thanks also to JudyinPA (and her friend Maryann), Call_me_Rhia, Yumyum, Dreamworld and his family - we had fun.

October 2002 and I had a vist from Rosie (KennetRose). We toured the Wirral for a day or so, reliving some of her childhood memories - catch us on my Willaston page.

Not long after Rosie's visit a dinner date in Manchester followed, meeting up with Steve and Susan and Laura (thanks for reminding me Laura!) How could I forget - phones in Manchester didn't work, I didn't have a mobile then, we arrived late and apparently Steve was dashing out every 5 minutes trying to find me ;-)

Sabsi came for a weekend visit with Steve and Susan - we enjoyed Liverpool and Chester in May 2003.

A meeting with Steve and Susan yet again along with Laura, visiting from Canada and also Marie whom I met for the first time. We had a fun day in York with lunch at Betty's and posed for this memorable VT picture ;-)More pics on my York page.
