"Cross Country - August 2002" United States of America Travelogue by sarahandgareth

In August 2002, we spent just over two weeks driving from Seattle to Maine. Between the two of us, we have done a lot of traveling over the years, but this trip was special. It was just us and the open road, except for the days we spend hiking in Glacier National Park and canoeing in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. We were always on the go, yet we felt relaxed. Although a couple parts of the trip were planned in advance, the majority of it was decided at the spur of the moment. Hopefully we have a chance to do something like this again before too long, only next time we want to head south!
