Uncommon Beauty in Desert Plantlife So much plants in New Mexico, and so very different that those I'm used to seeing here on the islands. My real treat was to see the Barrel Cactus growing in the wild. We see it all over the place used for ornamental purposes, but not so common to spot one out in the desert. |
Prickly Pear Cactus This is a very common cactus, even in parts of Hawaii. Prickly pear cactus has fruit ranging from pink to deep burgandy and is known to make wonderful jellies and jams. |
